About

A studio built around the light.

Jackie and Brittany, owners of The Loft
Our story

Built by photographers, for photographers.

The Loft is run by Jackie and Brittany — seasoned photographers who long utilized this space before opening it to others. We built the studio we wanted to work in, and we've put considerable care into making it a vibrant, creative, and pristine place to create — quiet, considered, ready for whatever you came to make.

We're glad you're here.

What we believe

Three quiet principles.

i.

Light first.

West-facing windows, all afternoon. The room follows the sun before anything else.

ii.

Less, considered.

Every prop earns its place. We'd rather hold thirty good objects than three hundred forgettable ones.

iii.

Held privately.

One booking at a time. The studio is yours for the hours you reserve — no shared lobby, no overlap.

On the room

Treat it as you'd treat your own.

We've put a lot of care into making The Loft a clean, considered place to work — and we'd love your help keeping it that way. Leave it as you found it: a quick sweep, a wipe where the day left marks, everything back in its place.

The next photographer walks in to a clean room. We're easygoing about the rest.

A tradition

Each new color, in a single hue.

Every time we repaint the rolling wall, we shoot it. A monochromatic study in the new color — wardrobe, props, every detail in the same hue — to get to know it before the next booking arrives.

It's how we keep the studio fresh and exciting — for ourselves, and for everyone who shoots here.

Frequently asked

A few things to know.

01

How far in advance can I book?

The calendar opens 90 days out. If you need a date further in advance or don't see your preferred time, write to us directly — we'll do our best to make it work.

02

What's the reschedule policy?

Time blocks over three hours require one week's notice. All other bookings require 72 hours. One reschedule per booking. Missed windows are treated as no-shows, and a new booking is required.

03

Are refunds available?

Refunds aren't part of how we work. Life happens — if it does, reach out with reasonable notice and we'll do our best to reschedule within the windows above.

04

Can I tour the studio first?

Availability for in-person walkthroughs is limited. The portfolio and the rates page are designed to give you the room before you arrive.

05

Can I move the furniture?

Yes — rearrange freely. Be gentle with the painted floors, and put everything back where you found it before you leave.

06

Can I host an event here?

We host small, cozy events up to 20 guests. Full parties aren't a fit for the space.

07

Is the space monitored?

Yes — common areas have video surveillance for security. Private areas (changing room, restroom) do not. Cameras stay in place during your booking.

08

Where's the full rental agreement?

Every booking is subject to our rental agreement.
