The Lookbook

The room, in series.

Each time the rolling wall changes color, we shoot a series. A monochromatic study in the new hue — props, wardrobe, every detail. The room, documented.

Black & white.

The most recent · Two sides of the rolling wall

A study across the black-and-white rolling wall — both sides documented in a single shoot. Neutral on the white side, dramatic on the black. The wall, considered in extremes.

Why monochrome

A tradition, not a gimmick.

When we change the rolling wall color, we don't stop at the painting. It became a ritual: every new hue gets a shoot of its own. Wardrobe, props, every detail in shades of the same color. A study, before the room opens again.

For us — Jackie and Brittany — it's a chance to be on the other side of the camera, and to learn what each color can do before someone else does. The blank canvas teaches us. Then we hand it over.

Color studies.

Seasonal archive · In progress

An archive of past color shoots — each season of the rolling wall, documented as its own monochromatic study. The library is being curated.

More color studies are being added here — red, blue, green, pink, peach, the whole archive.

In the room.

The studio, undressed

A few quiet shots of the studio itself — the windows, the floors, the rolling walls in repose between shoots.

Shot at The Loft? Send us the series.

We feature work made in the room — monthly. Send a short note and a link to your gallery, and we'll get back if it's a fit. The Lookbook grows from photographers who used the room well.

We feature work that holds together as a series — light, composition, palette. Single frames are welcome but harder to place.

The next series, made here.
